It’s National Marine Week with this year’s theme ‘Sea’ The Connection! ESP cares about a sustainable future, reducing our impact on the environment; including the marine environment. We’ve made many steps towards a greener future such as installing solar panels, partial home working and adopting the 4-day working week, and are committed to reducing our carbon footprint in order to protect our environment, including our seas. The UK is surrounded by amazing marine wildlife (over 30,000 species) and their habitats need protection. Our seas contribute to flood management and water purification and provide oxygen too!
Whether it’s going on adventures with the kids, exploring Wales’ stunning coastal and marine wildlife or attending a local event, there is many ways to celebrate National Marine Week. There will be many sea-themed events taking place across the UK through the Wildlife Trusts. These range from exploring the rockpools of Yorkshire’s Boggle Hole, to picnicking with a porpoise on the clifftops of North Wales. To find events near you, click here.
