The Welsh Land Contamination Working Group has recently provided guidance to Environmental Consultants in Wales encouraging better communication to ensure site investigation reports are fit for purpose. An updated Guide for Developers has been prepared by the Welsh Land Contamination Working Group and National Resources Wales. The aim is to encourage early liaison between stakeholders to ensure that proposed work will meet the criteria within CLR11 and other guidance.
Following the guidelines should provide confidence that assessments submitted are of a suitable standard, which will avoid application delays and reduce the potential for unnecessary costs.
