Last week ESP’s Operations Manager, Danilo Bettosi and Director, Matthew Eynon had the pleasure of delivering a presentation to the team at Coastal Housing Group in Swansea. Coastal Housing Group is a not-for-profit industrial and provident society whose objective is to regenerate older housing stock whilst building new houses to improve the local community and provide good quality, affordable homes.
Danilo and Matthew shared their knowledge on Sustainable Drainage Solutions (SuDS) in development and on SABs; the statutory function delivered by the Local Authority to evaluate and approve drainage applications for new developments where construction work has drainage implications. They presented examples of how SuDS have been implemented within of a variety of ESP projects and case histories. The opportunities for ground source heating from mine workings was also a hot topic and both welcomed questions from the group.
