Over the past eighteen months, Earth Science Partnership have been implementing a series of site investigations and land assessment across a range of geological terrains in the Neath Port Talbot area.

Our investigations have utilised a number of intrusive and non-intrusive methods such as trial pits, cable percussion boreholes, rotary boreholes, mine shaft excavations and geophysics. A great deal of the projects have, to a greater or lesser extent, considered the risks presented by historical mine workings and entries. The influences of glacial and post-glacial landforms have provided interesting aspects to consider in relation to foundations and slopes.
Logically phased assessments have enabled us to provide efficient conclusions for each of the proposed care home sites which are to be developed in the near future.
