As part of our on-going strategy for excellence and growth, the New Year will see ESP welcome on board an experienced senior team member.
Dr Mark O’Neill (PhD Geotechnical Engineering) will be joining us to complement our existing set of skills and to drive business expansion, whilst bringing additional civil engineering, geotechnical and major projects experience to our established professional team.
Mark’s foremost experience was gained with global multi-disciplinary consultants, where he set up new geotechnical teams and lead South West offices for Scott Wilson (now URS/AECOM), Buro Happold and subsequently became a leader on geotechnical matters with Parsons Brinckerhoff where he’s been working on various design and build relationships and some complex projects.
Some notable schemes Mark has been involved with include:
- Combe Down Mine Stabilisation, Bath
- Brymbo Steelworks Reclamation, Wrexham
- Etihad Stadium, Manchester
- M1 widening, Luton
- Crossrail, London
- Hayle Harbour Development, Cornwall
- Various projects across the GCC region, including Kuwait, Dubai (where he led a satellite office), Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi
